On Writing
Stephen King

Stephen King's "On Writing" is a book that sucks you in. Not only dose it have the charm of watching someone grow up but you learn allot about writing. right now I am watching Stephen struggle to make ends meet with his young wife and 2 children and also trying to be a writer. He had just quit his job as a wash man to become a high school teacher. Surprisingly to him this doesn't lighten the load it strengthened it with all the grading and the late staff meetings he feels like he would be better off at the mill, where he would get payed for his extra time. In this part of the book i think he is trying to say that writing is hard and not for the faint hart, i wont be handed to you on a silver platter. Next when King is older he starts to abuse drugs and alcohol. This point in his life is the darkest but he produces some of his most famous works like the shinning. these years are painful to watch as king struggles with his addictions. king is describes his feeling when he was on drugs was that he wouldn't be the writer he is without them. King realizes (after a intervention by his friends and family) that he doesn't need these things to make him a better writer the books were in him the whole time.

dear sophie

dear person who provides food,
I have noticed you have been acting strangely as of late and i wanted to know if you were ok, (i cant have the food bringer not ok now can I) talking about white rabbits, Plato, big brass mirrors, learning about pholosophy and if i can wonder about the world (that i assure you i can) and also why are you letting this dog come in to my territory!? it keeps me in a tizzy! why i don't know when that beast is going to show up and whats worse you put out sugar for it! you encouraging this beast to come i say! letting him in to our secret den! I tell you! but Sophie i do implore you to tell your mother more than what you have even if you did tell her about Alberto this Hilde stuff has me all spooked and us cats pride ourselves on our judgement.
                                           your devoted feline,

                                                                           Sherekan
